I grew up in Northern California, as a Giant fan... listening to Mays and
McCovey hitting them out on the radio. I am 46 years old, married with 3
kids, none of which listen to baseball on the radio..... oh well.
I got on with the Forest Service early, moved up to Oregon, and haven't left.
I work in engineering, from testing construction materials to inspecting and
designing road projects. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, home repairs
(my wife had me put that one in), woodworking, gardening, and playing on the
computer...(baseball is a given here)..
I started playing APBA when a friend and I bought the 69 season.. and spent countless hours playing the season, and making our own teams up. I was hooked. But I put the game away until I wrote Jerry Daily a letter from an article he wrote in the APBA Journal back in 1992... and before I knew it, I was a member of the Greatest Baseball League, which I am still a part. I am currently also in the Arriba Baseball Confederation and, of course, the YCL. |
