It is the Visiting Team's responsibility to enumerate vs. RHP and vs. LHP batting orders/lineups for any series.  The HOME team is under no obligation to make substitutions from such "published" lineups based on a player's fatigue status. LMPT does that based on the organization rules for Tired, Bushed, Worn Out substitutions.  One of the advantages of an AIM league over the old format is that games are no longer subject to protest "because the home manager didn't follow my instructions."  The f-file is the ONLY "instruction" that must be submitted and followed. Part of a visiting manager's responsibility is to gauge his players' fatigue status and to enumerate his lineups in consideration of their status. (That's one reason that it's so important for the Visiting manager to know the upcoming rotation). I know it's not the easiest thing to do --- I've got to constantly juggle my part-timers to keep them from getting "Tired" --- BUT it is my responsibility as a manager to do so, not my opponent's responsibility.  And the same goes for every other YCL member.

OFFICIAL 2008 YCL SEASON (2007) DATA DISK information (completed as of 12/05/07)

• To install the new organization and data disk, extract the C-YCDEF1.ALP file from the e-mail message and store it where you normally keep your YCL c-files.  I suggest that you open a "\2008\c-files" folder under your YCL folder and keep all new c-files there.  Run LMPT (you don't have to have ANY organization loaded, but it won't hurt to have one loaded either).  Then, just load the c-file as you would normally do.  It should create a C:\bbw\U-ycl08.wdd and subfolders on your hard disk and put everything where it's supposed to be. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY CREATED A FOLDER STRUCTURE NAMED "C:\BBW\U-YCL08.WDD" I SUGGEST THAT YOU COMPLETELY DELETE THE STRUCTURE PRIOR TO INSTALLING THIS FILE.  REASON: I'm not certain that the adjustments for player names and fixes will overwrite anything you may have created.
   
  Notes on content of the 2008 organization
  • I have not edited the PR ratings of the 65 carded players who may need to be converted to SF=100. The adjusted PRs are contained in the Master Spreadsheet to assist you in making your elections for the 2007 season.
  • There are NO fake-name players on the data disk this year
  • I have not yet heard of or made any APBA-published corrections to player stats and ratings
  • Since a "D" pitcher is now a pitcher with a grade of "4" or less, the Games Started, and Max Batters Faced adjustments to pitchers rated 4 or less have been made.  All of the appropriate adjustments have been made to this YCL season disk (not the APBA disk).  To make it easier for owners to compute the number of starts for starting pitchers on their rosters, the Games Started statistics of the <=4 starting pitchers have been adjusted to a minimum of 25. When you view a team's roster in Advanced Draft, the numbers you see in the Games Started column on the pitcher side of the window reflect the adjusted YCL-eligible starts.
  • I've imported the IR and NC players into the Season Disk.  Their Last Names are in upper/lower case as opposed to ALL CAPS and the IR or the NC shows as part of their name.  They have been edited to place all of them on the "365-day DL."  If you run an Injured Player report, they will all show up there.  Also, they will show up as disabled on your team's Status Report.
  • I've imported the two-league, four-division, inter-league schedule into LMPT and flip-flopped the inter-league home/away series from last season per the two-year rotation.  This is the actual schedule we will use --- so, you can sim the season to your hearts' content.
  • Although every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of rosters, please review your team's roster and notify me of any suspected errors.  All players were moved to the Parent Club; the Farm Clubs were created and affiliated, but have no players on them.
  • Please review the Constitution for trade rules.

Saturday, December 22, 2007   Midnight EST   Free Agent cuts and tenders are due Free Agent Pool selection procedure will be done ASAP thereafter.

Thursday, December 27 - Midnight EST - Trading closes, Free Agent Draft via e-mail immediately begins

Sunday, January 6 - 8pm EST - Draft Chat Room opens to complete Free Agent Draft

Monday, January 7 - Post Free Agent Draft Trading opens

Wednesday, January 30 - Midnight EST - Post Free Agent Draft Trading closes and pre-draft cuts due

Saturday, February 2 - 11 am EST through Friday,  February 15 - Rookie Draft proceeds via e-mail

Sunday, February 17 - noon EST - Draft Chat Room opens to complete Rookie Draft (if needed)

Sunday, February 17 - 5pm EST - Rookie Draft Completed

Thursday, February 21- Midnight EST - contract assignments due to Commissioner and PCA

Saturday morning February 23 - post-draft Trading opens.

Saturday, March 1 - Midnight EST - post-draft Trading closes

Sunday night, March 2 - Default c-file will be distributed

Thursday, March 6 - Midnight EST - Default f-files with roster cut to YCL Active Limit (30) and Farm Rosters due

Sunday,  March 9 - Series One default c-file will be distributed by Commissioner

Thursday, March 13 - 10pm EDT - Each team's Series One default f-file with pitching rotation and lineups due

Friday, March 14 - Series One Play Game c-file will be distributed by midnight EDT - Season opens.

Sunday, March 16 - Series One results f-files due to Commissioner by 10 pm EDT.  

Waiver period opens with the distribution of the series 10 play-game c-file.

In-season Trading opens immediately after series 10 results files are due.

In-season trading ends at the deadline for reporting series 30 results files.
